Nathan P. McNamee

Nathan McNamee is the President and Chief Compliance Officer of Total Wealth Management, Inc. As such, he oversees the firm's client service, general operations, and compliance. Nate has extensive experience as an advisor to individuals and to corporate retirement plans, with expertise in retirement plan regulatory compliance, management of fiduciary risk, plan provider selection and monitoring, investment option selection and monitoring, employee and fiduciary education, and fee analyses and comparisons, as well as other prudent retirement plan fiduciary practices. Nate is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), a highly respected credential issued by The Center for Fiduciary Studies.
Nate has authored academic studies regarding the behavioral issues in implementing corporate accounting and benefit systems including retirement plans. His studies suggest that in order for a corporate retirement plan to be successful, plan participant behavior must be changed to help meet retirement goals. Total Wealth Management's process increases the likelihood of affecting participant behavior and improving the effectiveness of corporate retirement plans.
In addition to industry experience, Nate received a B.S. in Business from Brigham Young University and received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, UK. He served as president of a Southern California Chapter of the BYU Alumni Association and currently serves on the Executive Committee of a BYU Management Society chapter.
Nate is an accomplished guitarist and vocalist, and has been a guest artist with the Southwest Symphony, an orchestra member for professional musical productions, and has been lead guitarist on several albums. He was selected as entertainer of the year while attending college and has received numerous awards for his performances. Nate is happily married to Tasha, his wife, and has three children: Ethan, Maxwell, and Aelie.
