Douglas Shoemaker is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, and Co-Founder of Total Wealth Management, Inc. He is an Emeritus Chapter President for The Society for Financial Awareness, a 501(c)3 non-profit educational organization. This association has vaulted Douglas into the public eye as an experienced and highly-requested public educator. He also hosts the radio show Intelligent Wealth. Douglas attributes his teaching ability to his father, Steve, a former high school teacher and his public speaking ability to his mother, Joan, former mayor of El Cajon. The combination of these talents has led Douglas to become the primary financial educator at various San Diego-based corporations.

A native Californian, Douglas was born and raised in San Diego. Shortly after graduating from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, he returned to San Diego and went to work with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Upon realizing that law enforcement administration was not his dream job, he began searching for a career that would highlight his teaching ability and his desire to help others.

This search brought Douglas to the field of financial planning. Douglas specializes in helping small-business owners, individuals, and families achieve financial independence and truly enjoys helping people understand and maximize their true wealth.

Douglas Shoemaker received specialized education from the College For Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado and holds FINRA Series 6, 63 and 65 registrations, a Life Insurance license (0D58672), and a Real Estate license (01383536).
